Neal L. Cadogan, III, of Marshfield (formerly of Quincy), age 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in his home on October 28, 2025.

He was the devoted husband of Janet (Graff) Cadogan. He was the beloved father of Neal Cadogan IV and his wife Jennifer; and Laura (Cadogan) Kenerson and her husband Timothy. He was cherished "Papa Neal" to Samuel, Neal V, Maxwell and the late Genevieve.

Neal was the loving brother of Raymond Cadogan and his late wife Dianne of Marshfield; Gerard Cadogan and his wife Eileen of Medway; brother in-law to Richard Graff and his wife Mary of Marshfield; and Byron Graff, III and his wife Doreen of Easton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

Neal was born on January 27, 1952, to the late Neal and Marilyn (Manson) Cadogan, Jr. Originally from Dorchester, Neal was raised in the Squantum section of Quincy. He met the love of his life, Janet Graff and married in 1973. Neal and Janet enjoyed building a life together in the tight knit community of Squantum for well over 40 years.

Neal was a proud graduate of North Quincy High School, class of 1969. He attended the Franklin Institute of Technology. Neal completed an apprenticeship at the Boston Globe, then became a proud brother of the Local 3 Pressman's/Teamsters Union for over 30 years. He was a member of the Massachusetts National Guard from 1972 through 1978. Neal was a member of the McKeon Post in Dorchester and the Green Harbor Yacht Club in Marshfield. Neal was a gifted woodworker. He attended the North Bennet Street School in the North End of Boston where he refined his talent.

Above all Neal was a family man. He was the greatest supporter of his children and grandchildren's lives. Neal was an avid learner with a keen intellect and sharp wit. Many of Neal's greatest memories were experienced traveling near and far with family and friends. Neal will be missed dearly. We will hold him close to our hearts and think of him fondly while skiing down a mountain or relaxing on the beach enjoying the ocean.

Visting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 4th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Marshfield.

Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service from the MacDonald Funeral Home, Wednesday, November 5th at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Christine's Catholic Church, 1295 Main St., Marshfield at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Neal's memory can be made to March of Dimes, by mail to P.O. Box 3155 Harlan, IA 51593-0346 or online at: https://www.marchofdimes.org/
