Warwick – Donna A. (Halajko) O'Donnell, 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. She was the former wife of James S. O'Donnell of Warwick.
Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of Constance (Coppolino) Andrews of Seekonk, MA, stepdaughter of the late John "Sonny" C. Andrews and daughter of the late Stephen Halajko. Donna resided in Pawtucket and Seekonk before moving to Warwick over thirty years ago.
She was an Anesthesia Technician at Kent Hospital, Warwick, until illness and was previously employed at Thrifty Car Rental, Warwick and Minerva Pizza House on the East Side of Providence. Donna loved to dance, perform, and ride unicycle for the Donna Carter Dance Studio, Pawtucket. But most of all, she adored her two children and three grandchildren.
Besides her mother and former husband, she leaves a son, Brandan M. O'Donnell and his wife, Alycia (Angelone) O'Donnell of Warwick; a daughter, Jamie L. (O'Donnell) Perez of Warwick; three grandchildren, Tyler, Hudson and Claire; two brothers, Stephen M. Halajko and his wife, Lisa (Young) Halajko of Rehoboth, MA and Shane Halajko, Sr. and his wife, Cheryl (Masiello) Halajko of Seekonk, MA; two sisters, Amanda Halajko of Pawtucket and Melissa Halajko of Johnston, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will be private. VISITATION will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to HopeHealth Hospice, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated.
