Elizabeth "Libby" Ann (nee: Sizemore) Boyer, 72, of Springfield, PA was surrounded by loved ones when she passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2023, going to her eternal home.
A native of Coal City, WV, she moved to Media, PA, at the age of 7. She met her beloved husband, Chuck, in 1968 while working at the Swarthmore Acme. Soon after getting married in 1970, they moved to Anchorage, AK so Chuck could serve in the Air Force. Upon return, she resumed her career at Acme and later moved into management at Fleming Foods. She broke the "glass ceiling" and was a force to be reckoned with. Her career was cut short by a brain tumor in January 1998, but it afforded her the opportunity to take care of her beloved grandchildren. Her life was her faith, her family, her career, and her trips home to WV.
Survived by her husband, Chuck; her sons Michael (Lori) and Jason (Sarah); her brothers Michael (Anne), Bruce (Michelle), Johnny, and Kevin; her grandchildren Daniel, Jenna, Steven, Emily, and Hannah. Predeceased by her mother, Garnet.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Aldan Union Church, 7 E. Providence Road, Aldan, PA, 19018 on Friday, September 29. Visitation from 9am to 11am followed immediately by a service. Libby will be laid to rest in the family cemetery in WV.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aldan Union Church food pantry or missionary fund.
