In 1960, Emily married Elbert Schenck in Lewistown, MT. They resided in Lewistown and had five children: John, Kris, James, Michael, and Kathleen. Emily held various jobs before beginning her 23 year career as a CNA with the Montana Mental Health Nursing Care Center; retiring in 2002.
Emily carried on after losing Elbert "Bud" in 1969. She served for a time as a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts and she was a wonderful baker and cook. Her homemade Christmas goodies were cherished and will be missed.
Emily is preceded in death by her husband, Elbert; children, John Schenck, Kris (Dan) Frank, and James Schenck; brothers, Chester, Harry, Leo, and Joe; and sisters, Cecelia, Katie, and Jenny.
Emily is survived by her son, Michael (Donna) Schenck; daughter, Kathleen Schenck Hall; grandchildren, Marcus, Justin, Kyra, Mallory, Jerome, Sami, Erin, Nick, John, Anna, and Jennie; great-grandchildren, Hayley, Marcus Jr., Sarah, Madelyn, Khloe, Ryleigh, Benjamin, Chevelle, Oakley, Damien, and Carter; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023, 3:00 p.m. at the Lewistown City Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Council on Aging. Memorial donations are requested to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
