Frances Dwyer was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She joined the angels in heaven on June 7, 2023 at age 75 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
Born on January 15, 1948, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Frances (Kleschick) Dampf. A graduate from Immaculata University, with master's degrees from Villanova and the National Defense University, Fran was a high-ranking civilian executive for the Department of the Navy most of her career, working in Philadelphia, PA, Mechanicsburg, PA, Norfolk, VA and the Pentagon in Washington D.C. Fran liked to volunteer as a lector for her church. She loved everything about Christmas, enjoyed playing Pinochle, painting ceramics for her family and friends, and playing the piano and singing. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Terry Wambaugh, her brother John Dampf Jr., and step-mother Fran (Wittchick) Dampf.
She is survived by her children, Daniel J. Dwyer, Jr. of Feasterville, PA, James M. Dwyer and his wife, April (Guarinello) Dwyer of Indialantic, FL, her stepdaughter Amanda (Wambaugh) Timchak and her husband Chris Timchak of Rye, NY, her grandchildren Elliana, Jimmy, Calvin, Penelope, Wyatt, and Georgia, her great-grandchild, Emilia, her sister Helen (Dampf) Wyrwas and husband Ed Wyrwas of Gambrills, MD, and her sister-in-law Lorri (McGann) Dampf.
Family and friends are invited to gather Saturday, July 8 from 12-1PM, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Melbourne, FL. Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00PM

What a lovely lady Fran was. I knew her during her time at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Fairfield Glade, TN. Always kind, always a smile to offer. I will certainly miss her.
