Gail Ann Wallace

Gail Ann Wallace, age 91, of Hastings, MI passed away on October 14, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 24th, 1932, in Hastings MI, to Hale and Anna Herbstreith. She attended Hastings schools. Gail worked at Nabisco in Battle Creek and Pennock Hospital in Hastings for many years. She was the widow of Robert E. Wallace.
Gail loved to garden, fish, feed & watch the birds, tend to her lawn, gamble, watch the Rifle Man & Daniel O'Donell, spend time with her family including her cat, and swimming. She was very proud that she taught so many children to swim, including most of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Wallace, daughter Vickie Rutzebeck, granddaughter Danielle Masten, sisters Betty Storm & Marie Henge, brothers Robert, Sonny & Jack Herbstreith. Niece Tony Service. Nephews Jimmy, Timothy, Terry Herbstreith, and Joey Henge.
She is survived by her children Sandy (Mark) Bowen, Dan (Cheryl) Goodenough, Dennis Goodenough, Tammy Waller (Jeremy LaPratt), grandchildren Cheryl (Gene) Sinclair, Cole (Alison) Bowen, Craig (Angela) Bowen, Syndi (Brock) Richmond, Samantha (Eddie) Hasspacher, Melinda Goodenough, Jessie (Nick) Ghilardi, Matt Waller. Great grandchildren Breonna (Travin) France, Ty (Rylee) Sinclair, Elle, Cole John, Gracie, Ethan and Ava Bowen, Eleanor & Harry Richmond, Lillian & Violet Hasspacher, Athena Brown, Great-great grandchildren Hunter and Aaliyah France and Moses Sinclair. Sister Dorothy (John) Service, Brothers Richard, and Harry Herbstreith. Several nieces and nephews.
Respecting her wishes a private graveside service will be held.
