George was my foreman at NY Tel when I returned from serving in the US Navy. I did not have a great reputation before leaving for the service but George said he didn't care as long as I did the right thing by him. He sent me to schools and I fixed whatever he sent me out to do. George recommended me for foreman in 1980 and helped me get promoted. I will always remember George as a mentor and good friend. I'm sorry I didn't get to see him before he passed. He will always have a place in my memory and heart.
