Guadalupe Trujillo

Guadalupe (Lupe) Trujillo, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 26, 2024. Born in Ponderosa, NM on March 15, 1929 to Patricio and Aurelia Trujillo. Married on January 9, 1960 to Theresa (Tere) Garcia. Enjoyed his life in his beloved Canon de Jemez, NM.

Guadalupe is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years; his daughter Monica; son-in-law Gary; his brothers Eugeno, Raymond, and Prospero; and his sister Petra Saiz. He is survived by his children, Frances (Leroy); Rachel; Debbie; Pat (Carla); Annette; and Bernadette (Mylo). His brother Ivan Trujillo and his sisters Esther Smedley and Ursula Bennett.

16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and many, many nephews and nieces and friends.

Guadalupe’s life will be celebrated on Friday, September 6, 2024, with a viewing at 10:30 am; a rosary starting at 11:00 am; and mass to follow at 11:45 am at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church located at 5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.

Guadalupe will be laid to rest at 2 pm at Vista Verde Memorial Park located at 4310 Sara Rd, Rio Rancho, NM 87124. A reception will follow at St Jude Parish Hall.

Thank you Dad for the countless lessons, both spoken and lived. Your kindness, integrity, and the way you treated others became your foundation. Thank you for your love, wisdom, courage and strength and the many beautiful memories. May you Rest In Peace in the arms of our Lord. You will be forever missed. It’s now time to “kick back”.
