Irene Brown Obituary

Irene was a graduate of Glen-Nor High School, Class of 1940. She then went on to receive her B.S. degree in Home Economics from State Teachers College, Indiana, PA, graduating in 1944.
Mrs. Brown was the Cafeteria Manager with Scott Paper for many years. In later years, Irene worked at Edwards Florist and then managed Calloway Florist.
Irene was a member of Middletown Presbyterian Church, Media, PA. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she was the past Worthy Matron.
"Rene" as she was affectionately known by her late husband, Brownie, loved to travel. Rene and Brownie had vacation homes in Canada, Florida and Delaware. They were snow birds in the winter and enjoyed Pot Nets in Rehoboth in the summer.
Daughter of the late Hilyard F. and Marian Robinson Cummins; Devoted Wife of the late Francis H. "Brownie" Brown.
Survivors:
Daughters: Penny Brown-Martin (Bruce Martin) and Marjorie Anthony (Frank Anthony)
Granddaughters: Carrie Anthony and Lisa Triolo (Charles Triolo)
Service and Interment will be private.

I often thought of her as a second mom . She was a giving person and treated my children with love and kindness. I will never forget her and all her family . They always were there for me . Penny and Margie are one of a kind just like there mother and dad. I will miss her so much. My love is with her family .
