Jack Fry, Jr. Obituary
Jack E. Fry, Jr., age 84, of Greensburg, formerly of Christy Park, died January 25, 2024, in Elizabeth. Born May 14, 1939, in McKeesport, Jack was the son of the late Jack E. Sr. and Alice (Cowan) Fry and is survived by his beloved wife, Theresa (Arroyo) Fry.
Jack was a United States Marine with two years of active service. He retired from Bombardier Inc. as a Field Service Technician. His work took him all over the world. Jack and Theresa loved to travel and saw most of the country together. Athletic by nature, Jack was an avid golfer, and even won the Club Senior Championship at Irwin Country Club two years in a row. He was well known in the McKeesport area for playing slow pitch softball and always enjoyed skiing the slopes.
In addition to his wife, survivors include children, Dale (Michele) of North Huntingdon, Tina (John Martin) of Westmoreland City, and Gary (Melissa) Fry of Pittsburgh: grandchildren, Greg Powell of Westmoreland City, Alyssa Fry of North Huntingdon; step-grandchildren, Joe and Jenna of McKeesport; siblings, Carol (Bill) Kirschner of Liberty Borough, Louise Gavigan of Orchard Park, NY and Davis "Porky" (Jean) Fry of Garrettsville, OH; sister-in-law, Dorothy Fry of Marietta, GA. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by brothers, Kenny and Donald "Mickey", sister-in-law, Judie Fry, and Brother-in-law, Gene Gavigan.
As were his wishes, no visitation is scheduled. Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory. Memorial contributions can be made to the Parkinson's Foundation. www.parkinson.org.
