Funeral service will be 2 pm Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Kirbyville City Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday, March 24, 2023 at the funeral home chapel.
Born November 14, 1938 to Robert Duckworth and Lillie (Wood), he served in the Army and later worked as an auto body repairman. He lived in Kirbyville since 1967.
He is survived by his wife, Gayle Duckworth; daughter, Rita Gatewood and Les; brother, John Duckworth and Irene; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Barton and Lois, Billy Barton, Chris Barton and Jan; sisters, Sylvia Codner, Helen Krenek, Cynthia Clark, Betty Richter; sisters-in-law, Linda Daugherty, Becki Thomas and Mike, Georgia Youngblood and Don; Betty Duckworth; grandchildren, Heather Barefield and Joseph, Jessica Teal, Casey Gatewood; great grandchildren, Karson, Logan, and Kayleigh Teal.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robbie Duckworth; brothers, Carl Duckworth, Robert Duckworth, and Bo Duckworth.
