Huck was a devoted husband, caring father, loving pastor, and faithful friend. Huck will be remembered for his charismatic personality, calming wisdom, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones. He loved sharing the message and love of Jesus Christ. He was an enthusiastic fisherman and "Fisher of Men". He was also known for his love of shrimp, banana pudding, and Dr. Pepper. Huck brought joy and laughter to everyone he met.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cooke Carter; sister, Russie McCorckle; sister-in-law, Dixie Carter; daughters, Raycean Barclay, Kim Guenther, and Jennifer Callaway; sons-in-law, Rusty Guenther, Richard Callaway; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and his closet friend, Ronnie Burke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Catherine Carter; brothers, Jim and Calvin Carter; son, Albert Carter.
Please join us on Reformation Day, October 31, 2025 at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Buna beginning at 5:00 pm for a visitation and a second visitation on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 9:00- 11:30 am. A private family internment will follow the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you please give to others, your local church, St Jude's, MHMR, and Samaritan's Purse.
