James Daub Obituary

Born June 16, 1944 in Lansdale, he was a son of the late Russell and Grace (Moore) Daub.
Mr. Daub was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of the 913th Airlift Wing, stationed at Willow Grove Joint Airbase. He began his career as a C130 Aircraft Mechanic and ended his career as a Quality Assurance. He retired in 1999 after 35 years of service with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant.
Jim was a member of the Hatfield American Legion Post 933, and his hobbies included fishing, motorcycles, and target shooting.
Survivors include his daughters, Kimberly L. Daub (Gerald K. Steele) of Chalfont, and Shannon D. Hitchcock (Mark) of Collegeville; two grandchildren, Ian and Rebecca Hitchcock; brother, Theodore Daub (Margie) of Emmaus; and his companion, Kelly Kopp, of Hatfield, and their devoted dog, Sadie.
Relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. November 1,2023 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Mr. Daub's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.

You have made your final flight into the wild blue yonder´s. You are now relieved from your post. A job well done fellow veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The final bugle has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation´s defender.
