Mr. Melton is survived by his wife Bonnie Lane Melton; sons Larry and Jerry Melton both of Monroe; daughters Shirley Hinson of Monroe, NC and Teena Harris of Conway, SC; brother Dowd Melton of Charlotte, NC; sister Ruth Cagle of Dayton, Ohio; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
