JASON LEE YOUNG, age 48, of Wilmington, formerly of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at his home while surrounded by his family. He had fought a courageous battle with esophageal cancer.
He was born on September 13, 1975 in Fayette County to the late Michael Lynn and Phyllis Jean (Trenner) Young. He was a 1994 graduate of Washington High School and Laurel Oaks where he studied masonry work. Jason had worked for IBSM Roofing and Construction, L&S Roofing and Construction, Inc., and was currently employed by Kokosing Construction Company. He was a faithful member at The Gathering Place Church and attended when his health would allow. He enjoyed working, going to Church, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, John and Marcia Hall.
Survivors include his daughters, Courtney (Blayne) Curry, and Katelyn (Nicholas) Brannon; grandchildren, Briley Curry, and Adalynn Curry; grand dog, the Doodle, Mac; siblings, Chad Young, Josh (Candace) Graf, and Brooklyn Graf; stepmother, Gail Graf; the mother of his children, Amy Young; and special friends, Garry and Lisa Ludwick. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor John Pfeifer officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

He was always smiling even when he didn´t feel like it he had a smile every time we seen one another he always glowed when he spoke of his girls his grand kids He worked so hard to give his kids anything Jason will always be a great friend
