In Loving Memory of Jennifer Michelle Dawson
Jennifer Michelle Dawson, a compassionate and dedicated individual, departed from this world at the tender age of 45 on October 10, 2023, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was born on July 27, 1978, in Trenton, Michigan, to her loving parents, Melvin and Judith Henson.
Jennifer was an accomplished woman, having nearly earned a Masters Degree and dedicating her professional life as an EMT working for MMR in Saginaw, Michigan. Later in life her desire to help others culminated in the field of psychology as an administrator in a group home. Her work in this capacity touched the lives of many, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to the well-being of others.
On a memorable Valentine's Day, February 14, 1997, Jennifer joined her life with John Dawson in matrimony in Fort Myers, Florida. Together, they embarked on a journey that brought three wonderful children into the world: Alex Dawson, John Dawson Jr., and Breandan Dawson (Autumn).
Jennifer's passing is preceded by her father, Melvin Henson, and her step-mother, June Henson.
Jennifer leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by her loving husband John and their adored children. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her mother, Judith Thompson-Harris, and step-dad Glenn Harris, as well as her brother Robert Reed III, step-brother Charles (Jeorgette) Howell, step-sisters Barbara Brochu, Rose Howell, and Frankie (Robert) Craig. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a vast extended family, including aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and a multitude of friends. Jennifer's warmth and love reached far and wide, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
