Michael James Dawson

Michael James Dawson, 42 of Windsor Heights WV, passed away suddenly October 29, 2025, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Michael was born April 8, 1983. He is the son of James Michael Dawson and Violet Mae (Keller) Dawson of Windsor Heights WV.
A 2001 graduate of Brooke High School Michael treasured the friendships and memories made there.
Employed by Waste Management in Washington PA he was known for his strong work ethic and friendly nature.
Having a true zest for life Michael was immensely proud to be the #1 Dad to his precious son, Hendrix. Michael was overjoyed to be welcoming his second son this February.
Finding joy in the open road and being a car enthusiast through and through Michael loved his Subaru and motorcycle.
Michael's natural talent, creativity, skill, and imagination shone through his art and glass work. Using dichroic glass, he crafted pendants for his adored mother, Violet and Aunt Joanie. These pendants are treasured for their workmanship and because they were made by their dearest Michael's hands.
With the gift of conversation, you were always in good company with Michael. He connected with people with his warmth, humor, kind heart, laughter, and penchant for sharing stories.
All who knew Michael will remember him for his love of family, his creativity and passion for life that inspired. An all around "handy helper" Michael could drop a transmission, paint a house, or round up a few friends to help move his family members to a new house.
Surviving Michael is his beloved wife of eight years Jessika (Miller) Dawson and son, Hendrix; parents Jim and Violet Dawson; brother Matthew Dawson, his wife Amanda and their children Kaidence, Dexter and Lincoln of Windsor Heights WV; and sister-in-law Erika Kirby, and her husband Jonathan and their children Anna, Emma and Gabriella. Special uncle and aunt, Dewayne and Joanie Keller and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends complete his family circle.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, November 2, 2025 at 2:00pm at the Windsor Heights Church of God with Pastor Lori Williams and Pastor Kendra Huffman, officiating.
