Mrs. Jessica Nealette Taylor "Cricket", age 74, passed away on Saturday November 12, 2022 at her home. She was born on February 19, 1948 in Charlotte to the late Thomas and Lorraine Spradley. Nealette was a longtime textile employee where she made many close friends. She also enjoyed her road trips with Jerry and Puddles. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Teddy Blanton, and her daughter Shelia Taylor. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 42 years Jerry Taylor, her dog Puddles, her daughters: Rita Hulett of Dallas, Lisa Stiles of Greenville, SC, Alice Crowe (Samual) of Easley, SC, and Tracie Blanton of Gastonia. Her son Teddy Blanton Jr. (Donna) of Kings Mountain. Her grandchildren: Natasha Newman, Justin Tench, Andy Tench, Shaney Crews, Michael Crews, Lauren Blanton, Jamie Blanton, Shane Blanton, Mikayla Colvin, Alfred Duncan, Todd Crowe, Tony Crowe, Nikki Crowe, Jonathon Stiles, Jason Stiles, and Jasmine Dameron, as well as numerous Great Grandchildren. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday November 18, 2022 at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday November 17, 2022 also at the Funeral Home. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Tracie Blanton for all of her help during the final days.
