Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Jim Henry Richardson, better known as Pastor Jim H. Richardson, entered eternal rest on April 13, 2023 at the age of 89. He was born on April 18, 1933, just five days shy of celebrating his 90th birthday, to the late parents: Allie Richardson and Annie Sullivan.
Pastor Jim met and married the love of his life, Olivia Henry. The two shared a blissful union of 70 years, one month away from their 71st wedding anniversary. Pastor Jim was a devoted husband, loving father, and grandfather, as well as a strong, hardworking man.
Jim accepted Christ at the age of 27. His faith and passion led him to a pastoral career which included 40 years of service to: Mt. Ararat Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas, 6 years of service to New Hope Baptist Church in Seguin, Texas, 7 years of service to St. Phillip Baptist Church in Smithville, Texas, and 5 years to Macedonia Baptist Church in Jourdanton, Texas.
He retired from the Army/Air Force exchange services as a truck driver, after 20+ years. He was known for his hard work ethic, genuine smile, kind, and compassionate spirit. His impact to others during his life will never be forgotten. He was greatly loved and his physical presence will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son: Wallace Richardson, and his siblings.
His is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Olivia Richardson, children: Jimmie Ann Williams (Kenny), Roderick Stevens (Carolyn), Rodney Stevens, and Roy Stevens; 25 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-greatgrandchildren; siblings: Johnnie Richardson, Frank Richardson, Ann Wade, Dorothy Irving, and Virginia Jean Wilson, and numerous other close relatives and friends.
