Jo Nell Jamar Riffe Obituary
Born January 8, 1940 and passed away February 16, 2025. She lived in Austin, TX her entire life. Survived by her husband of 66 years Louis 'Punch' Riffe who was her caregiver throughout their marriage as she dealt with MS that she handled bravely and with dignity. Jody was in the 1958 Class at Travis High School.Jody was also an avid painter.
Early in her young years worked at the State Comptroller's Office and the Adjutant Generals office at Camp Mabry.
She is survived by her living siblings: Janet Jamar Driskell, Jeffrey Jamar, Phyllis Jamar, Cindy Jamar, Kim Jamar Vasek and Walter 'Wally' Jamar.
She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and Joann Lewellen, her sister-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ada Nelle and Harrell Jamar, her brothers Harrell Jamar and Tommy Jamar. Also a special nephew Terry Frischen.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Public Visitation Monday February 24th at Harrell Funeral Home from 6:00PM -8:00PM, 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, TX
A Burial will be held 2:00PM Tuesday February 25th at Live Oak Cemetery, 10739-10799 Twin Creek Rd, Manchaca, Texas 78652.
