JOE CLARK, JR.
ABBEVILLE… Joe Clark, Jr., a resident of Abbeville, Alabama, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024, at a Dothan hospital. He was 78.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, with Reverend Eddie Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Abbeville Memorial - East Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 9, 2024, prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Clark was born in Henry County, Alabama to the late Joe Clark, Sr. and Estelle Roberts Clark. He was a lifelong resident of Henry County, Alabama near Abbeville, Alabama. Mr. Joe was a hard worker, as he worked in the logging industry his entire life. He was a member of the Old Friendship AME Church in Shorterville, Alabama.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Clark.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his son, Patrick Nelson, his siblings, Alice Murray (James), Linda Clark, Shelley Edwards (Freddie), Loistene Clark, Barbara Clark, and Chris Ann Kincey; his grandchildren, Monique Brown and Monet Brown; his great-grandchildren, Camein Gilbert and Camya Gilbert; and his several nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be nephews and friends of the family.
