FANNIE JEAN GALLOWAY
HEADLAND… Fannie Jean Galloway, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away Monday morning, October 13, 2025, at Encompass Health & Rehabilitation. She was 78.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church, with Reverend Delvick J. McKay officiating. Burial will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Dothan, Alabama. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Ms. Galloway was born in Headland, Alabama to the late Roy Smith and Beatrice Galloway. She attended Northside High School. She lived her entire life in the Headland, Alabama area. She loved her family to the fullest. Ms. Fannie Jean impacted so many lives from family, neighbors, and friends that were like family in such a unconditional loving sweet spirit way. She opened her home, heart, and humbled warmth to everyone that ever came to 315 A.B. Cotton Drive, as if they were family. She was a dearly devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Her warm embrace and memories will forever live on and be a reminder of what unconditional love is all about. She was fun, humorous, strong willed, sassy, and stubborn but mostly full of love. She raised so many of her grandkids with a proud selfless heart, as well as helping raise many others in the family and community. Truly one of Rockcreek’s finest gone but never ever forgotten and always in our hearts.
Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her child, Jonathan Galloway; her siblings, Helen Stacy Gibbs and Ike Galloway; niece, Keisha Galloway; and her special friends, Vincie Cushion, Yvonne Reynolds, and Johnny Lee Baxter.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her daughter, Arlonna Galloway (Curtis Culver); her sons, Marvin Galloway, Bryson Galloway, Adrian Galloway (Latasha), and Andre Galloway (Nakelia); her several grandchildren; her several great-grandchildren; nieces, Dana Kelley, Kimberly Reeves, Charlatta Brown; nephews, Darryl Galloway, Xavion Galloway; Bonus kids, Teresa Baxter, Beverly Baxter, Carrie Baxter, Christopher Baxter, Fredrick Baxter, Lee Danzey, Danielle Lee, Nick Collins, Mitchell Baxter; special friends, Linda Jackson, Margie Campbell, Willie Dell Taylor, and Anjeannetta.
Serving as pallbearers are Adrian Galloway, Jr, Deandra Galloway, Andre Galloway, Jr., Markell Galloway, Jalyn Salter; honorary pallbearers are Boris Cushion and Melvin White.
