Richard Warren Galloway, 92, passed away peacefully with his son Christopher and daughter-in-law Melissa at his side at Arrowhead Senior Living in Osage Beach, MO on October 19, 2025. He was born February 9, 1933, in Belmont, New York, a son of Clarence and Tinah Mitchell Galloway. He was a graduate of Belmont High School and attended George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Richard was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving as a Medic during the Korean War. On February 5, 1954, he was united in marriage in Cleveland, Ohio, to Joan Carmela Galloway, the love of his life for 57 years, who preceded him in death on December 9, 2011. Richard owned and operated RW Galloway & Associates, one of the first Companies in the US to Manage Physicians and billing for Hospital Emergency rooms from 1970 until his retirement in 1984. His company provided this service for approximately 300 Physicians and 11 Emergency Rooms, inspiring and encouraging his children to become entrepreneurs.
His favorite hobbies and interests included tennis, golf, photography, horses, writing, reading and World War II History. Richard loved classical music and was an accomplished pianist and played saxophone in a band when he was younger. He also loved spending time with family, playing his baby grand piano. He especially enjoyed Italian dinners prepared by his wife Joan with his children, their spouses and grandchildren around the table, always expressing words of wisdom for all to hear.
