John (Jack) Baker Obituary
Born to John and Signa Baker he is survived by his brother Mel. His Daughters Joan(Scott) Cramer, Peg (Steve) Abbott and Ellen Baker Grandkids Nate (Jessica) Abbott, Christopher, Cameron and Jackie (Anthony Torosain) Triplett
Great Grandchildren Amber and Anthony Torosain and Callum Abbott. He was proceeded to death by his beloved wife Raloyce son Bill his parents and brothers Lou Lyle and sister Alene. He retired from Pacific NW Bell and was able to spend the next 40 plus years playing with his brothers haying hunting going to auctions raising cattle and being a mentor to so many younger generations of farmers in our neighborhood. He will be missed.
There will be a graveside service 8-3-2024 at Peone Prairie Cemetery at 11 am officiated by Paddy Inman

Dear Joan, Peggy, Ellen, and Families.
Your dad's passing is the end of an era in Colbert. You would have to travel far and wide to find another man with your dad's qualities. When I bought my first farm, where I have now lived for fifty years, it might as well have been his! He helped and guided me through every imaginable challenge from plowing and planting to electrical and plumbing. He loaned me his tractor and baler, and when I bought my own first tractor he towed me from Greenbluff to his garage to replace the flywheel. When my main porch caved in, he taught me how to pour and finish concrete and then taught me how to castrate my calves. There was nothing he couldn't do or hadn't done, and he was generous with his advice and help.
You are in my heart and on my mind as you grieve his loss. My hope is that fond memories will sustain you as you adjust to life without him.
