Johnny Mac Mohler, age 87, passed away on June 25, 2023 in Avon. He was born July 3, 1935 in Greencastle, Indiana to Eugene (Pete) and Fern (Chloe) Mohler. He worked as an assembler for Allison Transmission after serving as an airplane mechanic in the United States Air Force for 20 years, reaching the rank of Master Sergeant. Johnny Mac was a very patriotic man and served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of VFW. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 30, 2023 at 1:00pm in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial with military honors will take place at Westridge Park Cemetery, Indianapolis. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until the service in the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Bernadine Mohler of Jasper, IN, a daughter, his daughter-in-law, Monique Mohler (Dave Luke), grandchildren: Elaine Morgan (Mike), Elizabeth Woodruff, Michael Mohler (Stephanie), and Matthew Mohler, great-grandchildren: Jayda, Norah, Izzy, and Abel.
