Joseph Stephen Horincewich died Friday March 24, 2023 at Sunrise of Basking Ridge in Basking Ridge, NJ. he was 84.
Joe was born in Bayonne, NJ on April 29, 1938 a son to the late Helen (Jaroschak) and Joseph Horincewich. where he lived until moving to Texas and Parsippany before moving to Gillette 55 years ago.
Joe served in the United States Army from 1962 - 1964 as a Private First Class
He received a BS from St. Peters College in Jersey City and obtained his Masters of Business at Farleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ.
Joe worked as a Comptroller for Engelhard in Menlo Park, NJ for over 23 years, and worked in many other industries and companies over the years..
He was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul RC Church in Stirling where he volunteered to count the collections.
Joe loved to dance and is how he met his wife Carol. He played baseball as a semi-pro and also in the Army. He was an avid bowler playing in many leagues achieving 4 perfect games and an 800 series
He was pre deceased by his brother Edward in 2020.
Joe is survived by his wife Carol Irene (Wisniewski) Horincewich, 2 sons, Joseph and his wife Michelle, Thomas and his wife Kimberly and his daughter Laura and her significant other John Poltrictzky. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren Dennis, Dylan, Amber and Brooke, and his great grandson Cameron Joseph.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church, 250 Bebout Ave., Stirling, NJ. Burial will follow at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Stirling. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd., Gillette, NJ. For more information and online condolences visit valleymemorialfuneralhome.net
