Kathie Hubert Goodpaster, 49, passed away unexpectedly October 16th, 2022. Just 10 days after the loss of her husband, Joshua Paul Goodpaster. A woman of strong faith, she has returned to be with the love of her life.

Kathie was born in Seattle, Washington on February 3rd, 1973 to Lowell Hubert and Efipania (Diaz) Hubert. She grew up enjoying the Puget Sound and all the beautiful sights Washington had to offer. She was very involved in cheerleading through her high school years, a passion which she always enjoyed to reminisce on. Kathie met Joshua in Astoria, Oregon in February of 1992, they both knew it was love at first sight. A love they shared all the way to the end, over 30 years later. A bond so powerful their souls could not be apart any longer.

Kathie was a keeper of the faith, through all things. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she loved serving her ward through her callings as a Sunday school teacher, Relief-society visiting teacher, and choir member. Through her faith we know she is back with the love of her life.

Kathie is preceded in death by her father, Lowell, and husband, Joshua. She is survived by her mother, Efipania, two sisters, Jennifer and Tracie, her children, Jared and Kiera, and grandson, Mason.

Such a bright and joyful person, her presence will be so painfully missed. Her smile was contagious and uplifting. Her and Josh now get to spend eternity together, looking over their family. We will miss you both, so dearly.

Combined services for Joshua and Kathie Goodpaster will be held at a later date.
