Laura Abrams Obituary
Laura Jean Abrams, 67, died Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at her home in Kansas City, MO.
She was a Platte County Election Judge and president of the Villas at Tiffany Woods Homeowners Association. After retiring from a long career in medical computer systems, she enjoyed what she called a “hobby job” at Rally House at Boardwalk. She was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, the Kansas City Royals and the University of Missouri Tigers. She was a wonderful cook and a generous and loyal friend.
She was born May 20, 1956, in St. Louis, MO, the third daughter of Bob and Deedy Abrams. Her family moved to Kansas City in 1971. She was a graduate of Oak Park High School and earned an AA degree in respiratory therapy from Penn Valley Community College.
Survivors include her sisters Julie Elliott of Liberty and Nancy Abrams of Morgantown, WV; brother-in-law Bill Elliott; nephews Brett Elliott (Sophia) of Kansas City, Seth Elliott (Laura) of Ozark, and Sam and Simon Feather of Morgantown, WV; and her beloved great-nieces and nephews Theo and Quincy Elliott of Kansas City and Brooklyn and Hudson Elliott of Ozark.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
