Publish in a newspaper
Visitation will be Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Lee's Chapel #1 Missionary Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Lee's Chapel #1 Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Bro. Kyle Thigpen will officiate the funeral service and Bro. Drew Dillard will officiate the graveside service.
A native of Carriere, MS, she was a retired Card Stocker for American Greeting Cards and a member of Cedar Grove Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Walsh "WT" Spiers; parents, Sephus Herbert Lee and Lela Seals Lee; daughters, Linda and Ronald Gambino and Darlene and Randy Bowers; son-in-law, Paul Thigpen; great-grandson, Jacob Sampson; great-great-grandson, Landon Thigpen; siblings, Yvonne and Guy Penton, Mary Lou and Dewey Hawthorne, Valerie and Virgil Lewis, Joyce Faye and Grayson Spiers, Ester Virginia and Bud Penton, and Mexie Ruth and Arlis Spiers.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, June and Robert Kellar, Steve and Rosa Spiers, Melanie and Ray White, and Stephanie Thigpen; 22 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Rayford Lee, Peggy Jean and Tom Jones, Ida Fern and Marion Wiggley, and Clifford and Candy Lee; sister-in-law, Betty Lee; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
