Linda passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday, April 22, 2023, with her friend Sylvia by her side at Addison Respite Care Home in Middlebury, Vermont.
Linda was born in Burlington, Vermont, the daughter of Val and Bernice Carter. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Michael. Linda was a 1967 graduate of Burlington High School and worked at Burlington Electric Department for 43 years. In retirement she worked for RCMC in Vergennes Vermont.
Linda is survived by her sister Jeanne Carter Miller with whom she had a special relationship, and her sister-in-law Pamela Carter.
Linda was a very strong and loving person. She loved painting and her many cats over the years. Linda will be missed by many. May you soar with the angels Linda. We will all miss you.
Jeanne and Sylvia would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Porter Health and Rehab -Addison County Respite Care Home for their devoted care of Linda during this difficult time. They truly cared and were her angels.
Per Linda's request, there will be no services. Linda will be buried privately at a future date in Maryland.
