Margaret Mary Kane, 72, Leesburg, Florida passed away on December 23, 2021 at The Villages Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was born on October 12, 1949 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to her parents John Ferguson and Margaret (Dwyer) Ferguson.
She had worked as a Laboratory Technician in the Pharmaceutical Industry. She and her husband Bill moved to Leesburg 16 years ago from Hazelton, Pennsylvania. Margaret was of the Catholic faith and a devoted member of St. Paul Catholic Community in Leesburg, Florida. She was very active in many ministries at St. Paul including working at the Thrift store and being a Eucharistic Minister. Margaret was a Devoted and loving wife and mother and wherever her husband was stationed by the U.S. Army she became quite active in starting new activities or improving on existing activities for military families.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 47 years: William J. "Bill" Kane of Leesburg, Fl. Four sons: Ralph Robert Bowman, Patrick Michael Bowman, William R. Kane and Leo R. Kane; four daughters: Sherry Ann Bowman, Bobbie Marie Bowman Rokosz, Colleen A. Kane and Angel Kane; Grandchildren: Eric Ryan Rokosz, Frankie Marie Rokosz, Pandee Moon, Piper Marie Kane, Ryan Matthew Kane, Emily Grace Kane; sister: Patricia Ann Ferguson Kachurak; nieces and nephews: Tricia Ann, Joseph John and Michael.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Ferguson.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 8:30AM at St. Paul Catholic Church in Leesburg, Fl. A burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania at a later date.
