Harold Anthony Aston "Hal", 88, of The Villages, FL, passed away on October 27, 2025. Harold was born on April 22, 1937, in Mansfield, OH, to his loving parents; Harold William and Lena Rose (Bautz) Aston.
Hal grew up in Ohio, and eventually relocated to Chicago where he graduated college and received two Master's degrees. Hal began teaching at Schaumburg School District 54 and did so for 32 years before his retirement in 1998. Hal was a middle school teacher and coach of cross country running and track and field. Hal was a beloved mentor to the children he taught and coached. His career was truly a calling and passion.
Hal enjoyed spending his time staying active. After recovering from Polio at the age of 15, he never took his mobility for granted. He rode his bicycle, was an avid runner, played pickleball and golf and maintained a consistent gym schedule. Hal also enjoyed spending time with friends and family and will be remembered dearly for being a great storyteller.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Beverly Aston, daughters, Pamela Rzonca of Oro Valley, AZ and Victoria Beckmann of Milford, OH, as well as three grandchildren: Megan, Collin and Katie.
Harold was preceded in passing by his parents. Harold and Lena Aston, and siblings; William and Sylvia.
