Margaret Melton Obituary
She was born April 2, 1933, a native of Gaston Co, NC, daughter of the late Hubert Hawkins and Fleeta Lawhorn Wright.
Sue was a member of Ridge Baptist Church. She loved her family, and loved cooking for them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Melton; daughter, Kay Whisnant; and brother, Hubert Hawkins, Jr.
Sue is survived by her grandchildren, Chad Whisnant (Crystal), and Steven Whisnant (Ashley); and great-grandchildren, Luke, Aleigha, Cameron, and Gavin Whisnant.
A graveside service officiated by Rev. Todd Terry will be held 2pm, Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Onley Presbyterian Church Cemetery - 251 Olney Church Rd, Gastonia, NC 28056.
