Mark Lavery, 68, of Rosman, joined his Heavenly Father suddenly on January 24, 2022. A native of Schenectady, New York, he was the son of the late Paul and Marion Boland Lavery. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Paul and Stephen Lavery.
In his early years, Mark worked in Texas on the oil rigs and later ran a family business, Lavery & Sons Painting. He was an active member of his church, East Fork Baptist Church, and loved to play the guitar for the Lord.
What brought him the most joy was spending time with his family. He was each and every one of his grandkid's number one fan in all of the activities they participated in, from sports to the arts. He also loved to travel and cruise with his family.
His loving survivors include his wife Lori Ann; and their children and grandchildren; John Lavery and his daughter Lexa; Timothy (Ashley) Lavery and their children Cody, Jacob and Onalee; Troy (Karen) Lavery and their children Brynley and J.T.; Michelle (Kris) Foster and their children Bryce, Makayla, Madelyn and Meleah; Bruce (Beth) Fatlan and their children Bailey, ben, Brody and Britney; Brian (Jill) Fatlan and their children Dylan and Devon. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Betty oliver Callahan and his brother, Bobby (Laurie) Lavery.
A Celebration of Mark's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at East Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Crocker officiating. A reception will follow where the family will receive friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to East Fork Baptist Church, 8081 East Fork Road, Brevard, NC 28712.
