Marquetta Marie Brown

Marquetta Marie Brown, 67, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Evangel Church in Columbus, Georgia, with Pastors Paul Thomas and Bud Rupel officiating. The family will receive guests immediately following the service.
Marquetta, better known to her family and friends as Skeet, was born on April 27, 1955, to Bobby and Katherine Miller. She is known for her outgoing personality, wonderful sense of humor, and her love of Jesus and the Georgia Bulldawgs. She loved spending time with her family, especially her girls and her grandchildren. She often sat on her porch and greeted neighbors. She never met a stranger. She is preceded in death by her father, Bobby Miller, and her grandson, Kyle Temples.
Marquetta is survived by her children, Jennifer Brooks of Phenix City, AL, and Elisa Temples of Columbus, GA, her mother, Katherine M. Miller of Columbus, GA, her grandchildren Justin Brooks, Johnathan Brooks (Taylor), Jacob Brooks (Haley), and Brandon Temples, great-grandchildren Brantley Temples, C.J. Temples, Vivian Brooks, Gabriel Brooks, Raelynne Temples, and Emeree Brooks, her brother, Tony Miller (Wanda) of Columbus, GA, her sister Stephanie Clark of Columbus, GA, her sister Valeta Brookins of Columbus, GA, her uncle John Mims (Michelle), many nephews, nieces, extended family, and close friends.
