Mary Agnes Mills Goshen, 89, of Sherwood passed away on October 31, 2023. She was born July 20, 1934, in Hermondale, Missouri. She and Michael Joseph Goshen were married for sixty-five years and blessed with seven children.

Mary was a caring and dedicated Registered Nurse at St Vincent’s Infirmary, MOPAC Hospital, and the Physician’s Surgery Center. She was generous with her time at Immaculate Conception School and Church in the Altar Society, the Arts and Crafts Guild, choir, the school board, and coaching sports. She was an active member of the PTO, German American Club, and the Iris Society. Much of her life revolved around her children’s activities such as: boy and girl scouts,   4-H, taking her children to varied practices, games, school, and county extension activities. After retirement Mary volunteered at St Vincent’s North, Meals on Wheels, and the Base Thrift Shoppe with her friend Claire Stephens. She enjoyed playing cards, square dancing, gardening, painting, and baking. Mary never met a stranger and was always grateful to everyone with a smile on her face.

She was preceded in death by her husband Mike Goshen and her great grandson, Xander Clarke. Mary is survived by her children: Michael Goshen Jr. (Laurie), Mary Sansalone (John), James Goshen (Cynthia), Theresa Hall (John), Lawrence Goshen, Karl Goshen (LaNaye), Christine Bennett (Blake), twenty grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren. Mary received exceptional care from Julie Sharp, Susan Tanner, Imcha Curry and the staff at Sherwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Visitation will be Sunday November 5th from 5-6 PM, followed by a rosary at Smith Family Funeral Home in NLR.  The Funeral will be Monday November 6th at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 AM followed by the interment at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Sherwood.
