Mary Miles "Anne" Smallwood

Mary "Anne" Miles Smallwood, age 84 of Chickamauga, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. She was born in Weir, MS to the late Henry Miles and Mary Franks Miles, moved to the North Georgia Area in 1974 and was a member of the Cross Connection Church, LaFayette. Anne was a career homemaker, who enjoyed being in her garden and playing with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed. Anne was also preceded in death by her sister, Jean Miles and brothers, John Miles and Fred Miles. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, of 64 years, James L. "Jim" Smallwood; sons and daughters-in-law, James S. "Jim" Smallwood & Danya Bray, Ben Smallwood & Shirley Smallwood, and Jeff Smallwood & Pam Smallwood; grandchildren, Ashley Geise, Beth Phillips, Tiffany Klemm, Emily Wood, Conner Smallwood, Caleb Smallwood, Chloe Watts, Cana Seeger, and Cooper Smallwood; great grandchildren, Lillian, Lilah, Carson, Easton, Hayes, Liam, Leo, Callie, and Jonah; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 21, 2023 in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Ken Wiggins officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm prior to the service.
