"Before you close my logbook, please make just one more entry; for you see, I've made my last flight to a new and better place. I took my training early to be ready for this flight, where no one could go with me, to be sure I'd do it right. The manual was so flawless. I could go by every line, and I found that such direction brought me home just fine. The Instructor too was perfect. He made it all so clear, that when I took my journey, I found I had no fear. So, please make one more entry "My Greatest Solo Done". I've landed safe in Heaven and the crown of life is won." Anonymous.
In lieu of flowers, Oscar would have appreciated a donation to the Daedalians, an organization that supports interest in aviation among young people considering a military flying career. Oscar was a lifetime member. www.daedalians.org.
