Patricia J. "Pat" Tuescher, age 84 of Darlington, WI passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at her home in Darlington. She was born March 19, 1938 in Darlington, WI the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Crowley) Johnson. Pat grew up in Darlington where she attended Darlington High School. She was united in marriage to Francis R. "Tish" Tuescher on October 15, 1955 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington. Together the moved throughout the United States while Tish was enlisted in the Air Force – living in Oklahoma, Arizona, Canada, Missouri, Texas, and South Carolina before finally settling back in Wisconsin. Pat and Tish moved to Shullsburg, WI and owned and operated a laundry mat, car wash, and gas station from 1971 – 1982. They then moved back to Darlington where they remained for the rest of their lives.
Pat is survived by her children: her daughter: Teresa (Floyd) Robelia of Darlington; her sons: Brian (Robin) Tuescher of Beloit, WI, Charles Tuescher and Roger (Jodie) Tuescher both of Shullsburg; granddaughters: Angela Robelia-Bacon, Alesia (Robin) Jenson, Ashley (Brice Walters) Robelia, Alison (Chris) McCord, and Brittany Tuescher; and her great-grandsons: Gillian Bacon, Lane and Levi Jenson, Rowan and Grady McCord. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Francis in 2019; one sister: Mary (Fritz) Teutschmann; and one grandson-in-law: Paul Bacon.
Pat was devoted catholic and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington. She was always a very proud military wife who stood by and supported her husband both while he was enlisted in the Air Force and when he returned home. She enjoyed spending time with her family camping throughout the years and traveling to Florida with Tish for 18 years after their retirement. In her free time she liked to walk her dog and was always collecting ceramic chickens. She cherished the time she spent with her family – especially her grandchildren creating memories they will all remember forever.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 2, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (104 E. Harriet St., Darlington) with Fr. Luke Syse officiating. A visitation will be held Friday, September 2, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at the church. A burial will be held at a later date in Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington.
