Paula Lynn Richter, a beloved homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2023. She was born on August 3, 1949, in Cameron County, Texas. Paula was known as a loving and compassionate lady who held her family dear to her heart. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye and brought immeasurable joy into her life.
Paula's warmth and affection always shone through every aspect of her life. She possessed a tender spirit that radiated love and compassion towards everyone she met. Her gentle demeanor touched the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
One of Paula's greatest passions was reading. She found solace and enlightenment within the pages of books, often immersing herself in captivating stories and gaining knowledge from various literary works. Additionally, Paula embraced the beauty of the outdoors and treasured camping trips. Myrtle Beach held a special place in her heart as one of her favorite camping destinations.
Cooking was another talent that Paula possessed, and she will be fondly remembered for her delicious meatloaf. Her culinary skills brought smiles to numerous faces around the dining table as family and friends gathered to relish in the delights she prepared with love.
Paula's passing is mourned by everyone who knew and loved her, but she departed this world with her son and daughter-in-law by her side. Her family took solace in knowing they were by her side during this difficult time.
As a mother and grandmother, Paula considered raising her children and nurturing her grandchildren among her proudest accomplishments. The love she showered upon them knew no bounds, and their lives have been forever enriched by her unwavering devotion.
Paula leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by many. She is survived by her son, Rob Richter (Lori); and a daughter, Shannon Reiser (Jeff). Her memory will be carried on by her grandchildren Brent Reiser, Tyler Richter, Ashley Richter, and Anthony Richter. Paula is also survived by her brother Frank Swaney (Connie); and a sister, Shelly Wood.
She is now in the company of her parents, Jim Richard Thorpe and Constance Jeanne Thorpe, brother Jeffry Swaney, and sister Brenda Baughman, who preceded her in death, Paula has found eternal rest.
Paula Lynn Richter touched the lives of countless individuals with her love and kindness. She will always be remembered as a beacon of warmth and compassion in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace knowing that her legacy lives on through the cherished memories she leaves behind.
