Linda Huckaby Obituary

Linda A. Huckaby, 83, of Easley, South Carolina went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 27, 2025.

Born on May 2, 1942, in Greenville, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Verno Ebling and Annabelle McDonald Roberts. She embodied the true essence of love, faith, and family. Her spirit brought light to all who knew her, and her unwavering faith in God served as a beacon of hope and strength. Linda was a devoted member of Bible Deliverance Church in Anderson, South Carolina. Her life revolved around her love for Jesus, and she dedicated countless hours to praying for her family and others, demonstrating her boundless compassion and devotion. She believed in the power of prayer and often volunteered at Channel 16, where she would offer prayer and support to those in need, providing comfort to many who sought solace through her kind and gentle words. Her faith was her foundation, giving her the assurance and peace that sustained her throughout her life. Even in her final moments, she found comfort in the promise of eternal life, knowing that her last breath on Earth would usher her into the glorious presence of her Savior in Heaven. Linda's legacy is reflected in the love she instilled in her family, teaching them the importance of faith, kindness, and compassion.

Linda is survived by her son, Rick Huckaby; three daughters, Vickey Jackson (Jacky), Tammie Huckaby, and Lisa Granger (Alan); and five grandchildren, Sonja Chorbajian (Chris), Josh Mauldin (Caty), Ciarra Huckaby, Wesley Jackson (Emily), and Zoe Granger; and three great-grandchildren, Devan Chorbajian, Tyler Mauldin, and Tanner Mauldin.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Huckaby; a brother, Fred Ebling; and two sisters, Jane Bradley and Joyce Mauldin.

Memorial services will be private.

The family would like to express gratitude to the providers and nurses of Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital Neurology floor, and to the nurses and staff of Rainey Hospice House for their gentle love and care for Linda during her last days.
