Joyce Elaine Huckaby

Joyce Elaine Ward-Huckaby, age 72, of Ludlow, KY, formerly of Rocky Top, TN, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 18, 2025. Joyce was born on September 21, 1953, to the late Clifton and Mildred Ward in Cincinnati, OH. Joyce was a balance of strength and compassion, having one of the biggest hearts to ever exist. She dedicated her life to working and helping others. She never saw a stranger and made many friends in her lifetime. Her love for music was always a huge part of her daily life, Jelly Roll being her favorite artist and biggest inspiration. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her brother James Ward of Georgia and sisters Patricia Ward of Arizona and Carol Sue Hoskins-Ward of Cincinnati, OH. Joyce is survived by her beloved boyfriend of 15 years: Bill "Mick" Williams; fur baby: Frank; children: Michael (Bobbi) Ward of Latonia, KY, Shirley (Chris Bowen) Ward-Rosenbalm of Independence, KY; brother: Donald Ward of Virginia; grandchildren: Tabitha (Hunter) Bates, Brittney Ward, Michelle Ward, Kandis (Nick) Minton, Krista (Randy Tindell) Smith, Dustin Smith and Dakota Byrge and great-grandchildren: Jeremiah Schweitzer, Noah Schweitzer, Zelda Bates, Iris Bates, Jordyn Smith, Kobe Riley, Khloe Riley, Lyrick Hargett, Marley Elliott, Madison Byrge and Callan Byrge. Joyces' life was a testament to the power of love, strength and devotion of her family. She will be missed so much. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. until the Funeral Service at 2:00 P.M. at Serenity Funeral Care, 40 West 6th Street, Covington, KY 41011.
