Peggy "Peg" Nelson, 54, of Fergus Falls, died Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Lake Region Healthcare.
Peggy Lynn Nelson was born December 11, 1970 to Palmer and Lorine (Brunmeier) Strand in Detroit Lakes, MN.
Over the years Peg worked at Kmart, Carlson Highland, Independent, and Quality Toyota.
Peg loved everything involving her animals. She loved helping people where ever and however she could. She enjoyed any public outing, concerts, fairs, and holiday displays (Christmas events, Fourth of July). She truly appreciated nature and relieving people from the human condition, often being the angel to others she needed herself.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Palmer and Lorine; and her grandparents, Christ and Lydia Brunmeier.
She is survived by her son, Brandon Nelson of New York Mills; brother Gary (Olivia) Ginther of Tacoma WA; sister, Diane of New Mexico; cousin, Ed Kittler of Bismark, ND; nieces, Donna Newman of Los Angeles, CA; and Chris (Brian) Smith of Tacoma, WA; nephew, Chris Ginther of Tacoma, WA; and other numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Memorials preferred to the Otter Tail County Humane Society.

Service: 2:15 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Olson Funeral and Cremation in Fergus Falls.
