Mr. Ralph Curtis “Judge” Fleming, age 84, of Elberton, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Hartwell Health & Rehab. 

Mr. Fleming was born in Bowman on September 13, 1939, son of the late Arrie Washington Johnson Fleming and Clara Bell Edwards Fleming. He worked as an equipment operator having retired from the Elbert County Road Department. A simple man, he loved joking and laughing. Ralph also enjoyed paint and body work. 

Surviving are his children: Tammy Hilton, Tony Fleming, James Fleming, Tara Jeter, Judd Fleming, and Arlene Fleming; niece and caregiver, April Shaw Myers; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Jerry Fleming; siblings: Marshall Edwards, Raymond Fleming, Clifford Fleming, A.R. Fleming, Reba Sue Fleming, and Mary Ann Price. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 21, from 1:00-1:45p.m. at Berry Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Flowers are accepted and contributions may be made in his memory to Make-A-Wish Foundation, 1775 The Exchange SE Suite 200, Atlanta, GA 30339.
