Mrs. Verna Burdette Greenway, 98, of Crawford, GA passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
Mrs. Greenway was born March 1, 1927 in Anderson, SC to William Burdette and Verna Bruce Burdette. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was a retired secretary from Rucker Trucking.
She is survived by a daughter Judy Crowdis, grandchildren: Monica Greenway Jones and Phillip Greenway; great-grandchildren: Charlotte Jones, Caroline Jones, Louis Jones and James Greenway.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Smith "J.S." Greenway, Sr., son: James Smith "Jimmy" Greenway, Jr., daughter: Dianna Mattson and nine siblings.
A private burial will take place at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Elberton, GA.
Berry Funeral Home and Crematory of Elberton is in charge of the funeral arrangements for Mrs. Verna Burdette Greenway.
