Ralph Anthony Serino, 86, of Endicott passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on October 10, 2023. He was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Josephine and Vince DiMascio. He is survived by his loving wife and "Pride and Joy" of 62 years, Margaret Martinelli Serino and his children, Denise (Craig) England, Annette Serino, Carol (James) Angelo, grandchildren Dylan (Ashley) England, Chelsea England, Emily (Brian) Perkins, Elizabeth England, and great-grandchildren Henry and Francis Perkins. Also, survived by sister-in-law Marie (Howard) Terry and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In life we're lucky enough to have one true friend; Ralph had more than he could count. Among the closest were Gary and Julie Lindsey who were Ralph and Marge's lifelong travel partners. Gary made his final journey a few days prior, and we are comforted to know he was there to welcome Ralph with open arms. Ralph had many other lifelong friends through his community service with the West Corners Lion's Club. His friends, many of whom have passed on enjoyed his wit and sense of humor and will remember him by his many one-liners. He cherished his time with his monthly Breakfast Club thanks to his buddy and chauffeur Mark Herr. He also loved his dinners with Mark and Jackie Herr, and Jereane Williams.
Ralph was a graduate of Binghamton North High School and Broome Technical Community College where he excelled in Basketball and his team was one of the first in the school's history to make it to the Final Four. After graduating college, he served in the National Guard. From there he began his career at Endicott Johnson Corporation where he met the love of his life, Margaret. Soon after he continued his career at IBM and was a member of the Quarter Century Club.
Ralph was a lifelong New York Yankees and Giants fan. He loved trips to the casino and Manhattans with Craig. More than anything he loved time with his family especially Sunday Dinners, holidays with his favorite tradition "Santa's Bag", and any time he spent with his grandchildren. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment with them. They gave him immense joy and comfort until his last breath. His granddaughter Chelsea was able to make his wish to live his final days at home possible, which could not have been done without her loving and tireless care. Ralph was "A Person of "Fine Venuity" and never had an unkind word to say about anyone. He was a shining example to us all. At Ralph's request there will be no calling hours, a celebration of life will happen later, and he will see you all at Sears.
