Randy Carol West

Randy C. West, age 79 of Harned, KY passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born in Breckinridge County on April 16, 1945, son of the late Lee and Alda (Mohr) West. He lived his entire life within a half mile radius of where he was born. Randy was a crop farmer, growing many acres of tobacco, corn and beans. This year, he still had beans on his farm. He loved to play baseball in his younger years and then softball till his mid fifties. If you were talking sports, Randy loved the New York Yankees and the Kentucky Wildcats. Those who knew Randy well, could also tell you stories about his passion of playing cards. He also loved to talk and cut up with people. You could usually find him in a crowd from his laughter. Randy so loved his family, watching his children and grandchildren grow into adults and being part of their lives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Carol Leigh West Ivey.
Randy is survived by his daughter Pamela Wells (Kevin)
Four grandchildren: Kamry Ingram (Colton),Braden Wells (Abby), Isaiah and Randy Ivey.
One great grandson: Wells John Thomas Ingram
His life partner: Treasa Penny and her family

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 11AM with burial in the Custer Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, 3:30 – 8 PM and Saturday after 8 AM. All times are central.
