Robert "Bob" Groves

Robert "Bob" Dale Groves, 70, of Sandyville passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg.
Bob was born June 18, 1953 in Charleston a son of the late French and Opal (Westfall) Groves. Bob was employed by the WV Department of Highways as an operator and retired after 36 years of service. He enjoyed drag racing and cars, especially Mopars. He also enjoyed turkey hunting, singing and attended church at Drift Run Church.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Helen (Coen) Groves; daughters Stacy Catron (Jimmy), Cari Christafore, Katie Groves and Heather DeQuaise (Dennis Martin); sisters Zella Fisher (Jack), Mary Hoselton and Brenda Sheets; grandchildren Briana Catron, Elizabeth Catron, Hannah Loar, Olivia Wolfe, Kinsey Wolfe, Peyton Wolfe, Kylie Lucas (Jacob), Ethan Rollyson, Gage Martin and Max Martin; great-grandchildren JoCee Naylor, Jericho Naylor and Colt Witham. Bob is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Bill, John, Larry "Frog", and Gene Groves.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 6th at Waybright Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Long officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
