Entrepreneur, lifelong Wyomingite, and all around fun-loving guy Robert “Bob” Riehemann passed away August 31, just shy of his 79th hunting season.  Born in Sundance and raised in humble circumstances, he worked tirelessly throughout his life to improve himself.  He loved to tinker - equipment, tractors, Toyotas, cars, snowmobiles, 4 wheelers - there weren’t many things he couldn’t fix.

After graduating from Upton High School in 1963, he enlisted in the National Guard and studied to be both a barber and an electrician before finding his calling in the drilling business.  Following a series of partnerships, he and Glenna founded Inyan Kara Services, Inc. in 1979 which he continued to operate until his passing.  As the president of Inyan Kara Services for over 40 years, he employed dozens of young men.  To these young people, he was often more than an employer; he was a mentor, a father figure, and a friend. He helped them learn what it means to go home with the satisfaction of getting dirty and putting in a full day’s work. A worker to his core, he worked until his last day, solving problems with one of the first of these men (Wes McAmis) and one of the last (Nolan Turner).

He is survived by the love of his life, Glenna and daughters Michele Summers of Hughes Springs, TX  and Laura (Andy) Knapp of Cheyenne. He had five grandchildren - Lindsay Rivers, Brittany Carroll, Justin (Rachel) Riehemann, Nolan Turner, and Hailey Turner and two great-grandchildren - Parker and Ellie. He is also survived by his brothers Bill (Barb) Riehemann, Ray (Gloria) Riehemann, Carl (Patty) Riehemann, and Paul (Kelli) Baker and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents William Riehemann and LeDel Baker, brother Larry Riehemann, nephew David Riehemann.

A memorial gathering will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, September 9 at Sunset Amigos (all ages welcome). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to Inyan Kara Shrine Club or Weston County Helping Hands.
