Rose Mary Broyles

Our beloved mother, Rose Mary Broyles, died peacefully in her sleep September 2, 2024. She lived a blessed life of 81 years and will leave behind a legacy of strength, family and faith.
Rose Mary was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1942 to William Frederick Miller and Rose Eleanor Prestigiacomo. She was the eldest of five daughters and is survived by her sisters JoAnn Miller, Louise Roberts, Linda Oliver and Eleanor Miller. She married the love of her life, Jerry Broyles in 1962, and they began building their legacy of love through their daughters Ann Marie Heinz married to Thomas Heinz (Chantilly, VA), and Mary Broyles Alexander married to John Alexander, Jr. (Oakton, VA). Rose Mary and Jerry were married 54 years until his passing in 2016. Rose Mary took great pride and pleasure in taking care of others. She was always the first to volunteer at school activities with her children, loved hosting parties in her home, cooking for her family and gardening. Rose Mary and Jerry lived close to and enjoyed their four grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann and husband Richard Savage (Aldie VA), Allison Michelle Heinz (London, UK), John Hudson Alexander, III (Oakton, VA) and William Broyles Alexander (Oakton, VA) immensely by embracing every hobby, sport and interest they had. Rose Mary delighted as well in her great grandchildren William Thomas, Emma Rose, and Archer Bradley.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-5:00PM Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9900 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA 22032.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Saint Leo the Great Catholic Church, 3700 Blenheim Boulevard, Fairfax, VA 22030 at 11am. Interment will follow the service at Fairfax Memorial Park.
